Feb. 16 Mars trine Mercury Retrograde

Feb.16In Astrology for the Light Side of the Future, Kim Rogers-Gallagher writes about Mars-Mercury:

“Take one part Mars–Mr. Feisty himself, the guy after whom expressions like Seeing Red, Hot Under The Collar, and All Fired Up were created for–and add one part transiting Mercury, the traveling mouthpiece, the Bringer of Words. What do you get? Well, it depends on how you shake them, but as a general rule, what you get for starters is a Heated Discussion. Yes, these two planets unite the concept of Action with the concept of Communication. In other words, Mercury’s an expert at fanning Mars’ already fiery disposition into action–and at providing him with all the verbal bullets he’d ever need to get his message across in not uncertain terms. Yes, when Mercury visits Mars, all of a sudden, it’s time to Let It Out–whatever it is we’re angry or excited about, that is. Now, the key thing to keep in mind when dealing with Mr. Mars is that he’s not a bad planet. He just tends to get a little bit on the cranky side when he’s not used right, that’s all. It’s similar to having a bored guard-dog on your hands. Of course, there’s nothing better than a guard-dog when it’s time to defend yourself, so Mars definitely has a very valuable job to do for us.”
